A joyful Snyder Memorial Baptist Church wedding in Fayetteville, NC — captured by Peter Falla in a timeless, documentary photography style.

Abby & Chase’s Joy-Filled Church Wedding in Fayetteville, NC
Some wedding days radiate warmth from the very first moment—Abby and Chase’s celebration at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina was one of them. From laughter echoing through the hallways as the bridal party got ready, to the heartfelt vows and joyful exit on the church steps, every part of their day reflected who they are—kind, genuine, and deeply in love.
As their photographer, I approached the day with my usual documentary-style storytelling, blending into the rhythm of the celebration rather than staging it. Abby and Chase wanted their wedding photographs to feel honest—moments unfolding naturally, surrounded by family and friends who mean the world to them.
A Ceremony Rooted in Tradition and Connection
The ceremony took place in the sanctuary of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church, a timeless space filled with warm light and the sound of soft organ music. Little flower girls made their way down the aisle, scattering petals with shy smiles while guests leaned forward to catch a glimpse of the bride.
When Abby stepped through the doors in her lace gown, Chase’s expression said everything. Beneath the wooden cross adorned with blooms in soft pinks, coral, and ivory, the two exchanged vows that had the entire room smiling—and a few eyes welling up with tears.
Portraits Beneath the Carolina Sun
After the ceremony, we stepped outside into the golden Carolina light. The red-brick exterior of the church made a perfect backdrop for portraits full of life and energy. The bridal party couldn’t resist a few playful shots—jumping, cheering, and celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. as flower petals swirled through the air.
Abby and Chase’s portraits together were effortless. They have a way of looking at each other that’s impossible to pose—it just happens. We found a quiet corner under the shade of an old oak tree, where the two could breathe and take in the moment. The laughter that followed was pure and unfiltered, exactly the kind of authenticity I love to capture.
A Celebration of Love and Simplicity
The reception that followed was relaxed and joyful—more about connection than schedule. Guests mingled outside, the warm sunlight reflecting off the brick walls and white columns of the church. There were hugs, toasts, and easy laughter—the kind of atmosphere that makes you forget you’re working behind the camera.
Photographing Abby and Chase reminded me why I love what I do. Every wedding is different, but the heartbeat is the same: real people, real emotions, and fleeting moments that deserve to be remembered.
